Methuen Legion blanked North Andover 10-0 to clinch the first half title. Cam Cyr fanned six in three innings of one-hit ball. Evan Lacroix and Jon Pierce relieved and combined to give up just two hits.
Will Martin was the offensive star with two hits and three RBIs while Andrew Wells chipped in with two hits and two runs and Lacroix added a two-run double.
Gerossie, Cahill lift Derry
Derry Legion doubled up on Salem 6-3. Chris Gerossie went the first seven innings, limiting Salem to four hits for the win. Riley Cahill got the save, hurling two no-hit innings.
Jamie Collins homered for Post 9, Matt Marchman added three hits and an RBI, Dan Morin had two hits and Justin Bundzinski drove in two runs.
Salem’s Ryan McCarthy had a double and two RBIs and Mike Ryan also doubled.
Derry improved to 9-1 while Post 63 dropped to 6-4.
Andover ties Haverhill
Andover Legion and Haverhill Legion played to a 2-2 8-inning tie.
Ben Murphy pitched all eight innings for Andover with six strikeouts and just one walk. Andrew Deloury smacked a two-run double in the first for the Post 8 runs.
Haverhill’s Nick Comei fired six innings of two-run, three-hit ball. Glenn McIntosh tied it up for Haverhill with a seventh inning double.
Fabian on fire for Lancers
ANDOVER — Kevin Fabian erupted for 31 points as Lawrence downed Lowell, 71-58, to advance in the Bradner Memorial Tourney at Andover High.
Dewayne Thomas had 19 for the Raiders.
