Central eyes Bradner three-peat

ANDOVER — The annual Bradner Basketball Tourney taps off Tuesday at Andover High.

Another strong field will be on hand with two-time defending champion Central Catholic leading the pack.

The Raiders, of course, are led by Eagle-Tribune MVP Tyler Nelson, the do-it-all 6-2 guard who has picked up scholarship offers from George Washington, among others. Nick Cambio, a 6-5 senior, also is enjoying a big offseason.

Central always reloads but it did graduate a ton of talent.

Andover is primed to make a run behind it’s inside-outside combination of athletic guard David Giribaldi and 6-5 Connor Merinder.

St. John’s Prep’s 6-5 Ben Judson of Plaistow is one of the state’s best and Max Burt of North Andover is a player to watch in the backcourt.

The Preps I All-Star team has some star power led by Terance Mann of Lowell. The 6-5 small forward at Tilton Prep is rated the No. 61 player nationally in the Class of 2015.
