Odds and ends: Chris Plourde is new head coach, replacing Dan Leone, who was coach for just one year. Plourde was an assistant coach last year and coached his two daughters in Methuen Youth Soccer for many years. He is a guidance counselor at Greater Lawrence and played at Bates ... The Reggies were able to add a JV team this year. .... Jasmine Reynoso-Diaz was a 2011 All-CAC goalie. She was out for most of last year with a concussion. ... Coral Robinson, a captain last year who now attends Merrimack College, is back as an assistant.

Coach Chris Plourde (1st year): “We’re really excited about the enthusiasm from the girls. We hope to get better every game.”

Odds and ends: Last year was a tough one for PMA including a 13-0 loss and to 10-0 setbacks. ... Jasmin Colon is returning after taking last year off. ... Until the beginning of this week, PMA’s status on whether to have a team was up in the air because of a lack of numbers. Seven boys will be added to the team to complete the roster.

Coach Kristin Huberdeau (4th year, 15-34-4): “It’s been a total struggle. I’ve never been this unsure of who is playing well. I don’t know what to expect.”
