Nate Frongillo stroked the 100th hit of his varsity career in Whittier baseball’s 3-0 win over Greater Lowell.
Jordan Bowman won the long jump, 400 and 4x100 as Salem whipped Manchester Central. Alex Magoon fired the javelin 168-11 to win easily.
Sam Hennequin threw a five-inning one-hitter and struck out seven to lead Pinkerton 12-0 over Keene. She also went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and one run scored.
Leaping to victory
Yorgelis Ortiz won both the long jump (13-10.25) and high jump (4-11) to lead the Londonderry girls 104-40 over Pinkerton.
Poggi, Toohey double up
In a 93-52 win over Londonderry, Pinkerton owned the track evens with wins in the 100 and 200 (James Toohey), 400 (Connor Kwiecien), 800 and 1,600 (Chris Poggi) and 3,200 (Nick Pietrocarlo).
Anchoring the victory
Crystal Peatfield won the 100 hurdles (17.34), 300 hurdles (51.65), 200 (29.02) and anchored Salem’s victorious 4x100 relay. (53.81). She led Salem girls 86-54 over Manchester Central.
Kayla Riley (4 no-hit innings) and Destiny Jordan (1 inning) combined on a five-inning shutout as Whittier beat Greater Lawrence 13-0. Riley also had a homer and three RBIs.
Anyelina Martinez ran a school record time in the mile 6.15 to win the event but Whittier girls track lost 77-59 to Chelsea.
Torrisi wins debut
Freshman Boo Torrisi won in her first ever varsity singles match to lead Pentucket girls 4-1 over Amesbury. Torrisi took her No. 3 singles match 4-6, 6-4, 6-0.
Gallo brothers rule
Anthony Gallo’s seven goals and his brother Ben Gallo’s 16 saves helped Windham boys lacrosse hang on for a 14-13 win over Manchester West.
