The Owl Open to benefit Timberlane athletics will be Saturday, June 1 at Granite Fields Golf Club in Kingston. Registration is at 7 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. The $110 fee includes golf, cart. lunch, contests and awards. Sponsors are being sought for $100 per hole. Field hockey

The Shoot for the Stars Camp will be held at Rider Field in Derry July 29 to Aug. 2 or Aug. 3 from 8 a.m.-noon. Cost is $100 for five days and $115 for six. All ages and all towns are welcome.

Forms are available at the Derry Recreation Office, by e-mail at Denrioux@aol.com, and by phone at 437-6402.

The Red and White Field Hockey Camp will be held at Pinkerton Academy July 15-19 and July 22-26 for all players, new and advanced, from grades 5-12 under the direction of head Pinkerton coach Jen Resmini. The camp runs from 8 a.m. until noon at a cost of $90 for one week, $170. For more information, email jresmini77@gmail.com.

Baseball

North Andover Legion will hold tryouts on Saturday, May 11at 6 p.m. at the North Andover high baseball field, for anyone interested in playing junior or senior Legion.

Methuen American Legion tryouts are set for Sunday, May 12 at Methuen High from 4-7 p.m. Both Senior (born 1994 and later) and

Junior (born 1996 and later) Legion teams will try out together. All players are responsible for having their own wooden bats. If you have not yet registered, supply Name, Address, School, Year of graduation, and DOB and send to MethuenLegion@yahoo.com.
