Final Score

Daziel hits 100

Kennedy Daziel scored six goals, moving her over 100 in just two years, as Pinkerton whipped Windham 19-7.

Another blast

Freshman Kat LeFebre hit her fifth home run of the season as Methuen clipped Billerica 9-5. Heather McLaughlin was 2 for 2 and scored three runs for the Rangers (11-5).

Lancers stay hot

Jose Abreu doubled to score two runs and then came around on a single by Elvis Batista to provide all of Lawrence’s offense in a 3-1 victory over Billerica. Joan Vargas struck out nine in a complete-game victory to lock down the win.

Rivalry renewed

Abby Karalis had four goals and fellow freshman Lauren Hillier had 10 saves as North Andover bested Masconomet 17-14. Michaela Mello and Kaileigh Rogato led the defense.

Game-winning HR

Karoline Leavitt blasted a two-run homer in the ninth to lift Central Catholic to a 9-7 win over Chelmsford. Leslie Moore also homered, a solo shot in the third.

11th heaven

Kristy Robertson continued her assault on the area, scoring 11 goals to lead Haverhill past red-hot Methuen 21-13.

First MVC victory

Methuen earned its first MVC victory in program history with a 7-6 four-overtime victory over Haverhill. Ryan Doyle scored the game-winner with 1:30 left in the fourth OT. It was his third goal this season.

Nick Powers recorded a remarkable 22 saves for the Rangers while Zach Grundy had 22 for Haverhill.

First varsity goals

Freshmen Mara Bergin and Rachel Lewis scored their first varsity goals to help lead Central Catholic girls lacrosse over Lowell 15-4.

Hennequin shines

Sam Hennequin pitched a four-hitter, striking out 16, as Pinkerton blanked Manchester Memorial 8-0. Natalie Fabrizio had two triples and drove in two and Kelly Fitzsimmons had a triple and drove in three.

Pitcher perfect

Cassandra Hunt may not have been quite perfect, but she was as close as humanly possible.

The Brooks pitcher from Andover threw a no-hitter, striking out eight of her 15 outs and finishing just a walk away from a perfect game, and was 2 for 2 at the plate with two runs as Brooks blasted Middlesex 15-0.
