Daziel hits 100
Kennedy Daziel scored six goals, moving her over 100 in just two years, as Pinkerton whipped Windham 19-7.
Freshman Kat LeFebre hit her fifth home run of the season as Methuen clipped Billerica 9-5. Heather McLaughlin was 2 for 2 and scored three runs for the Rangers (11-5).
Lancers stay hot
Jose Abreu doubled to score two runs and then came around on a single by Elvis Batista to provide all of Lawrence’s offense in a 3-1 victory over Billerica. Joan Vargas struck out nine in a complete-game victory to lock down the win.
Abby Karalis had four goals and fellow freshman Lauren Hillier had 10 saves as North Andover bested Masconomet 17-14. Michaela Mello and Kaileigh Rogato led the defense.
Karoline Leavitt blasted a two-run homer in the ninth to lift Central Catholic to a 9-7 win over Chelmsford. Leslie Moore also homered, a solo shot in the third.
Kristy Robertson continued her assault on the area, scoring 11 goals to lead Haverhill past red-hot Methuen 21-13.
First MVC victory
Methuen earned its first MVC victory in program history with a 7-6 four-overtime victory over Haverhill. Ryan Doyle scored the game-winner with 1:30 left in the fourth OT. It was his third goal this season.
Nick Powers recorded a remarkable 22 saves for the Rangers while Zach Grundy had 22 for Haverhill.
First varsity goals
Freshmen Mara Bergin and Rachel Lewis scored their first varsity goals to help lead Central Catholic girls lacrosse over Lowell 15-4.
Sam Hennequin pitched a four-hitter, striking out 16, as Pinkerton blanked Manchester Memorial 8-0. Natalie Fabrizio had two triples and drove in two and Kelly Fitzsimmons had a triple and drove in three.
Cassandra Hunt may not have been quite perfect, but she was as close as humanly possible.
The Brooks pitcher from Andover threw a no-hitter, striking out eight of her 15 outs and finishing just a walk away from a perfect game, and was 2 for 2 at the plate with two runs as Brooks blasted Middlesex 15-0.
