Coach Jim Saalfrank (2nd year, 8-8-2): "Bryan Burkhard likes to play with his back to the goal and he releases and uses his speed to spring toward the goal. Pat Leber just flat out outhustles defenders. We have plenty of seniors and a lot of them played last year so we'll have plenty of depth."

Assistant John Keogh was born in Ireland and attended Dublin Institute of Technology.

Coach Shawn Chase (2nd year, 7-6-4): "We have a lot players coming back. We're very motivated. We're going to count on anyone who can put the ball in the net. I'm guessing our scoring will be more spread out this season."

Returning honorees: Edgar Escalante, All-MVC; Luis Hernandez, MVC All-Star

DiMarca, a longtime Lawrence City Councilor, was 11-55-10 from 2002-06 at Greater Lawrence Tech and 11-21-5 in 2000-01 at Haverhill.

The new Ranger coach also has experience as the girls U14 Portuguese-American Soccer Academy coach.

Coach Jeff Lamy (1st year): "Cooper is back and he's leading our team. He got these guys going in the offseason. He will run our midfield. We're definitely in a rebuilding year."
