Week 10, another tough one for everybody including Eagle-Tribune executive sports editor Bill Burt, is in the books and now only seven weeks remain.
This past weekend, Burt had eight winners in the 13 games over the weekend (remember, Thursday night games are never included). While that might not seem impressive, only 38 of the 311 entries picked more winners.
Each week a maximum of 10 T-shirts are awarded. This week, the tiebreaker was the Broncos point total (Patriots had a bye), which was 28. Nine of the winners were within three points of that total, with one being decided on the second tiebreaker (correct selections).
This contest is sponsored by Optimum Sportswear in Lawrence (optimumsportswear.com).
Here are the winners for Week 10:
Fran Rand of North Andover, Bill Gebala of Methuen, Ron Rogers of Ledyard, Conn.; Richard Wentworth of Vero Beach, Fla.; Guy Pichette of East Hampstead, Ken Pellerin of Groveland, Sal Gilardi of Gloucester, Ed Schroeder of Windham, James Racofsky of Gloucester and Patrick McAtamney of Methuen
