Dudney named CAL Large Player of the Year

As a midfielder who contributed at both ends of the field, North Andover senior Gareth Dudney was named by the Cape Ann League as its Large Division Player of the Year.

Dudney scored a team-high 18 goals to help lead the Scarlet Knights to a CAL Large championship.

Joining Dudney on the All-CAL team was teammate Ross Marchand, the linchpin on a defense that yielded a mere 19 goals over its 18-game regular season.

Also named to the All-League were seniors Bryant Yavorski of Georgetown and Pentucket's Taylor Beaton as well as North Reading junior Steven Dixon.
