Dee Mency netted 31 points, including netting seven 3-pointers, to help lead Merrimack to its first victory this season.
The Warriors beat Holy Family 87-81 in Philadelphia yesterday after starting the season 0-2 with loses to Bentley and Philadelphia University.
Mency shot 11-for-19 from the floor and 7-for-11 from the 3-point line.
Merrimack shooters scored 13-of-26 (50 percent) 3-pointers they attempted.
Holy Family out-rebounded the Warriors 45-32.
Merrimack led 43-30 at halftime after leading 13-2 to open the contest.
Still, the Warriors were outscored in the second half for the third straight game. This time by seven points.
Merrimack forced 26 turnovers.
Wayne Mack added 17 points while Darren Duncan scored 12.
The Warriors (1-2, 0-1) play at Stonehill tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.
