It was a tale of two weeks, Week 16 and Week 17, for Eagle-Tribune sports editor Bill Burt
In Week 16, nobody beat Burt. That's not a misprint. Burt correctly had 13 of the 15 winners. Of the 312 entries, there were four that tied Burt.
It marked the second week of the season that nobody beat Burt. It happened on Week 1 as well.
In Week 17, it was a little different with Burt correctly picking 10 winners of the 16 games. It proved to be a difficult week with many teams, particularly favorites, resting their players.
Of the 309 entries, 44 picked more than Burt.
Each week a maximum of 10 T-shirts are awarded. This week we will be giving away shirts to 12 winners, all of whom were within one point of the Patriots point total (27) in their finale against the Houston Texans.
The Week 17 winners were:
Louie Framarini, Litchfield, N.H.; Ray Metthe, Haverhill; Bill Letourneau, Lawrence; Kenneth Perron, Derry, N.H.; William Scism, Andover; Carole Gilardi, Gloucester; John Hamilton, Seabrook, N.H.; Bill Collins, Lawrence; Jim Ellington, Derry, N.H.; Charles Boddy, Lawrence; Lefty Cote, East Kingston, N.H.; George Kettinger, North Andover.
Please note all T-shirts from Week 10 through 17 will be mailed out next week.
