Lots of Lange

Masha Lange had a double, single and home run, was robbed of a fourth hit and scored three runs as Timberlane remained unbeaten (4-0) with an impressive 6-0 softball victory over Alvirne.

Heck of a game

Sarah Heckman scored five goals, including the go-ahead tally with three minutes left in the game that gave Timberlane a 12-11 victory over Spaulding.

Walkoff winner

Chris Hohlstein stepped to the plate in the bottom of the eighth and blasted a home run over the wall in center field, giving Phillips a 5-4 walkoff victory over Cushing Academy.

Clutch homer

Sophomore Lauren Phillips hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the fifth inning to cap a four-run rally and lift Pinkerton over Alvirne 4-2 for its first softball win of the season.

Dynamite debut

In the first pitching appearance of his varsity career, Chris Benjamin allowed just two hits and struck out seven in a complete-game effort, leading Pelham to a 3-0 victory over Raymond.

Murach wins 3 OT thriller

Midfielder Joe Murach picked up a loose ball in his defensive zone and took off on an end-to-end rush, firing a bounce shot into the goal to give Whittier a 7-6 triple-overtime victory over Nashoba Tech. It was Murach’s first goal of the season and second of his career.

Crushing Keene

Londonderry’s boys tennis team handed Keene its first loss of the season, 6-3. Ryan Broderick won 8-0 at second singles and also won his doubles match.

Doubles power

Timberlane’s girls won all three doubles matches to lift the Owls to a 5-4 win over Nashua North. Michelle Shih and Megan Shields prevailed in both singles and doubles.

Following Law

Leadoff batter Elyse Law had three hits, scored twice and drove in two as Sanborn remained unbeaten (4-0) with a 7-2 victory over Windham.

Tremendous Hunt

Junior Leah Hunt went the distance for the win and had four hits and three RBIs as Londonderry whipped Bishop Guertin 14-2.

Young Guns

Sophomore Katie Dawson (2 innings) and freshman Megan O’Brien (2 innings) shined in relief as Salem beat Winnacunnet 11-1. Sam Cloutier and Stephanie Lovett each had three hits.
