North Reading entered the bottom of the 10th inning down three runs. But the Hornets came away with a 6-5 victory over Masconomet despite not stroking a single hit during the frame.

Six walks and a two-run Masconomet error helped North Reading stay undefeated at 6-0.

Ryan Sanborn drew a bases loaded walk with the game tied for the winning RBI.

Starting pitcher Ryan McAuliffe went 9.0 innings, striking out 14 and allowed two runs, both unearned, on three hits and two walks.

Battling back

Tim Galloway-Burke’s 13 kills and 19 service points led Methuen 3-1 over Greater Lowell.

The Rangers lost the first game 25-17, then really had to battle in the second game before taking it 26-24.

Big Hart

Rob Hart pumped in five goals and added an assist as Londonderry boys lacrosse won an 11-10 overtime thriller over Souhegan.

Shutout city

Windham girls lacrosse improved to 6-0 by shutting out ConVal 18-0.

Tori Cipollone made five saves and Melissa Cino had five goals and four assists.
