North Andover’s boys outscored Lowell in every quarter on its way to defeating Lowell, 60-52, in a road game that started at noon. Wadissa Bede had 18 points and five assists and Brett Daley chipped in with 16 points for the Knights (8-3).

Big second half

Pentucket started slow and trailed 28-21 at halftime, but a 41-point second half lifted the Sachems’ boys to a 62-56 victory over Manchester Essex and improved their record to 6-6.

Lancers surge on

Londonderry’s hockey team won its ninth straight, clipping Concord 6-2. Mike Donlan and Lucas Poulin had two goals apiece for the Lancers, who improved to 10-3 overall, and Eric Coburn chipped in with a goal and three assists.

Royal performance

Ben Denoncour hit four 3-pointers on the way to 16 points and Pat Bjork had a team-best 19 points as Georgetown earned its fourth straight victory since the passing of their coach, 64-56 over Triton.

Wildcat rally

With Whittier trailing by four points with 1:10 remaining, Michaela Martin knocked down a 3-pointer, Samnell Vonleh delivered a key block and Kayla Riley, Andrea Terranova and Martin hit key free throws to give the Wildcats a 57-51 win over Newburyport.

Knights rally

North Andover’s girls basketball team started slowly but rallied in the second half to take down Lowell, 59-56. Abbie Karalis finally put the Knights (6-4) ahead with a field goal in the fourth quarter and Mackenzie Mello made two key free throws in the closing seconds to seal the win.

Sachem onslaught

Pentucket’s hockey team got goals from seven different players in a 9-2 rout of Everett. Bob Barry and Brayden Carney had two goals apiece for the Sachems (5-5).
