CAC Large champs
Michaela Martin scored 17 points and Andrea Terranova netted 16 for Whittier, which locked up its third straight Commonwealth Conference Large title with a 65-52 win over Greater Lowell.
Eliza Simpson scored 13 points and dished out nine assists, making her just 12 away from 500 helpers for her career, as Londonderry beat Dover 50-32.
Burt paces Prep
St. John’s Prep senior Max Burt of North Andover scored a career-high 25 points, including 20 in the first half, to lead the Prep over Lynn Classical, 81-51. Plaistow, N.H.’s Ben Judson scored 15 points, while Bradford’s Tyson Johnson added six points and Georgetown’s Joey Torgerson had four points. Prep improves to 11-2 and plays host to state’s top-ranked Catholic Memorial on Friday night.
Senior Ryan Boucher scored a career-high 10 points to help North Reading get back to .500 (7-7) with a 71-39 victory over Ipswich, 71-39.
Big ski for Knights
North Andover’s girls ski team remained unbeaten and defeated Andover for the first time in three years, 77-58. Freshman Cameron Deery continued to impress for the Knights, finishing third in 21.54 on the Ski Bradford course.
‘A’ for Alexis
Alexis Estrella had a season-high 20 points, Maikel Guerrero added 20 points of his own and seven rebounds and Oscar Reynoso had 10 rebounds to go along with eight points as Greater Lawrence continued to roll, clipping Shawsheen 70-61.
