Leah Chittick led the Knights with 29 points, four steals and six assists as North Andover girls posted an impressive 51-49 victory over Billerica.

The Knights sealed the win in the fourth with a Megan Collins 3-pointer. They outscored Billerica 14-8 during the final quarter.

Mackenzie Mello finished with 10 rebounds.

Four straight double-doubles

Amanda Williams recorded her fourth straight double-double last night. Her 18 points and 12 rebounds led Central Catholic 66-46 over Methuen.

Courtney Walsh added 10 points, five steals and six assists for Central.

Meghan Murphy led the Rangers with 15 points.

Defensive clinic

Andover girls basketball held Lowell to just three points in the second quarter and just three points during the third period to roll 47-33 over Lowell.

Colleen Caveney led the Golden Warriors with 16 points, including netting three 3-pointers.

Pentucket captures league title

Jenny Marra’s shot put throw of 30-2 was a personal best by almost three feet and it qualified Marra for states. A strong day by Marra and several of her teammates helped Pentucket girls post victories over Triton and Saugus to finish the regular season 9-1 and capture the Cape Ann League regular season title.
