---- — Sox’ No. 1 Star: Starter John Lackey earned a win in his return from the disabled list, hurling 6.0 innings and allowing one run on five hits and two walks while striking out four.

Sox’ No. 2 Star: Shortstop Stephen Drew came up big with his second two-out, two-run triple on the homestand. He also had one Wednesday vs. Oakland. Yesterday’s triple put the Red Sox ahead 3-1 in the fourth inning.

Sox’ No. 3 Star: Daniel Nava continues to do everything right. He went 2 for 4 with a double and three runs. He also made a sweet diving catch in right field to end the ballgame. He is batting .310.

Best in Baseball: The Red Sox are 18-7 and have the best record in the majors. Boston’s 18 wins matches its most victories in April in franchise history. It also won 18 in 1998 and 2003.

Odds and ends: Joel Hanrahan’s rehab outing with the PawSox went well yesterday. He hurled one inning, allowing no runs, no hits and walking one. He likely will rejoin the Red Sox tomorrow at Toronto ... Craig Breslow struggled in his rehab outing with Pawtucket yesterday, going 0.2 innings and allowing one run on one hit and two walks. ... David Ortiz went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs and has hit safely in 20 straight games dating back to last year. ... Daniel Bard has been optioned back to Double-A Portland.
