Fall Swimming

ASHLEE KORSBERG

Andover, Senior

Set North sectional meet record in 200 freestyle (1:51.57) and won 500 freestyle (4:54.49). Both were fastest times in state. Seriously ill at Division 1 States but swam on winning and runner-up relay teams. MVC co-MVP. Four-time Eagle-Tribune All-Star. Will swim at Harvard, where her sister was a captain. Accomplished cellist. Her twin, Alexa, also is an excellent swimmer.

DEBORAH DALY

Andover, Senior

Scored 479.60 points to place second at Division 1 States after winning title as junior with 479.80 points. Sectional and league meet champion. Repeat Eagle-Tribune All-Star. Has no fear of new dives. “She has so much drive,” said coach Marilyn Fitzgerald. “She is so dedicated. She’s never satisfied.” Ranked in top 10 percent of her class. Scored a 31 on ACT test. Will dive for Princeton.

SARAH BRODERICK

Haverhill, Senior

Three-time Eagle-Tribune All-Star. Repeated as state Division 1 50 freestyle champ (23.71) and doubled as 100 backstroke state champ (57.58.). Also on third- and fourth-place relays at States. Sectional runner-up in 200 freestyle (1:51.69). Owns four school records (two individual events, two relays). Member of school’s Executive Committee and Student Council. Earned scholarship to UNH.

KELLY LENNON

Methuen, Junior

Finished second at Division 1 state meet in 200 IM (2:11.95) and fourth in 500 freestyle (5:12.17). Placed fifth in 500 free (5:11.49) and third in 200 IM (2:12.40) at North sectional. Repeat MVC 2 MVP. Won four individual events at Summer Bay State Games. “Kelly is a role model,” said coach Jason Smith. Ranked 37th in class of 450. Her sister Kara swam for Methuen five years ago.
