Sophomores power Rangers to easy win

Sophomores Cooper Hammel (26) and Tim Galloway-Burke (22) combined for 48 points and Methuen downed Greater Lawrence 64-52 in a Greater Lawrence Christmas Tourney consolation game.

The lead was 30 when Galloway-Burke, an impressive 6-5 center destined for big things, scored early in the fourth.

The Reggies pumped in 25 points in the fourth to cut it to 12.

Oscar Reynoso (15) and Javier Franjul hit double figures for Greater Lawrence.

North Andover scored the first 12 points of the game and cruised to a 75-40 win over Salem in the other consolation game.

Chris Bardwell led all scorers with 19 points. Brendan Miller added 11 including a two-handed slam dunk and Isaiah Nelsen and Derek Collins tossed in 10 points each. Sophomore Isiah Latham led the Blue Devils with 11 points.
