Kobelski smashes personal best

Setting the standard

Cassie Kobelski set a new personal best with a throw of 38-10, smashing her old PR of 36-8 3/4, as Andover bested Haverhill 69-17.

Superior shooting

Led by Jake Chory, Pentucket drilled eight 3-pointers, which was seven more than Georgetown in a 58-48 victory for the Sachems. Jake Chory had five 3-pointers and 15 points.

Twice as nice

Brett Coneeny scored two goals and Colby Gilbert made 26 saves as Andover blanked Billerica 3-0.

Can’t hold on

Central Catholic took an early 2-0 lead on goals by Mike Kelleher and Conrad Jepson but Austin rebounded for a 4-2 win.

Putnam Power

Jack Putnam registered a pin in just 26 seconds at 160 to highlight Central Catholic’s 46-27 win over Tewksbury.

Tough Luck

Pinkerton’s Nate Mitchell made 22 saves, but a goal with a minute left in regulation gave Hanover a 1-0 victory over the Astros. It was Mitchell’s second straight 1-0 loss in net.

Freshman duel

In the match of the night between two of the area’s top freshmen, North Andover’s Owen Rosenberger edged Haverhill’s Luke Chretien 6-5 in a classic back-and-forth 195-pound matchup. The Knights rolled to a 56-24 victory.

Brooks turnaround

Brooks fell to BB&N 60-36 last month but prevailed by a convincing 42-29 verdict yesterday. Thalia Garcia led the way with 16 points.

Hurricane hits Reggies

Kyanna Rivera and Yanierry Martinez each had 10 points as Notre Dame of Lawrence tripped Greater Lawrence 40-32.
