HAVERHILL — Just a week after losing to Dracut by 10 points, Whittier’s girls basketball team jad what coach Kevin Bradley called “a block party” while crushing the Middies 72-46 to complete a terrific regular season at 19-3.
The Wildcats had an astounding 31 blocks according to Bradley, led by a monster game by Samnell Vonleh who had 21 blocks to go along with 14 points and 18 rebounds for an impressive triple double.
Kayla Riley led the scoring with a season-high 23 points while Andrea Terranova had 19 points.
“This was a big revenge game,” said Bradley, whose club is 19-3, “The girls wanted this bad and they played like it.”
