With her six goals yesterday, Abby Galloway-Burke surpassed the 100-point mark for the season and helped Methuen prevail 19-11 over Malden.
She has 87 goals and 17 assists for a total of 104 points.
Owls win thriller
Eric Kaasila scored 18 kills, 25 service points and six aces to help Timberlane rally after losing the first two games to edge Londonderry 14-25, 14-25, 25-23, 25-23, 15-12. Cam Donnelly added eight blocks for the winners.
Devil of a comeback
Salem scored the last three goals of the game to overcome Concord 12-11 in girls lacrosse. Shari Juaranovits led the way with six goals, one more than Lizzie Twomey.
Pinkerton’s softball team got all three of its runs via home runs in a 3-1 win over Winnacunnet, moving the Astros (8-9) within a game of .500. Lauren Phillips had a two-run blast and Kinsey Manchester (2 for 3) had a solo blast.
Yuri Kim won the final match 7-5, 7-6 (7-3) with a blistering forehand winner to clinch at third singles and give the win to North Andover, which topped Haverhill 3-2.
Andover wrapped up yet another MVC boys tennis title yesterday with a 5-0 win over Central Catholic. Austin Bendetson set the tone with a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles for the Warriors, who finished undefeated in league play.
