Track

Haverhill Elite Track is hosting a Fun Run Series Tuesdays in August at Haverhill High. To participate runners must bring a non-perishable food item which will be donated to the Sacred Hearts food pantry. Registration starts at 6 p.m. and the meets start at 6:30 p.m.

SOFTball

Merrimack Valley Vipers Softball tryouts for its U10 U12 U14 and U16 teams will be Sunday, Aug. 18 at 5 p.m. at Greater Lawrence Tech. Visit merrimackvalleyvipers.org for registration form and more information.

Baseball

Team New England tryouts for the 2014 season will be at Michele Park in Salem. Tryout dates are as follows:

Aug. 18: 11U 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.; 12U 1-3 p.m.; 13U 3:30-5:30 p.m.; 14U 5:30-7 p.m.

Aug. 24: 11U 3:30-5 p.m.; 12U 2-3:30 p.m.; 13U 3:30-5 p.m.; 14U 5-6:30 p.m For more information visit teamne.net.

Methuen Ranger Academy tryout schedule: 9-10 year-old is Aug. 21 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and Aug. 24 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.; 11-12-year-old is Aug. 22 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and Aug. 24 from 12:30-2:30 p.m.; 13-year-old is Aug. 19 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and Aug. 24 from 3-5 p.m.
