Final Score: Knight volleyballers stun Andover

Historic Knights

Erin Cox recorded 36 assists in a thrilling 3-2 comeback win for North Andover over MVC rival Andover. It marked the first win ever for the Knights over AHS, said coach Veronica Schaeffer.

Caroline Schmidt and Cathy Zhang each had 12 kills and Jillian Boyle had 30 digs.

North Andover trailed 2-1 but battled back for the victory with a 15-12 Game 5 win.

Bravo for Boyd

Defender Natalie Boyd played a tremendous game and Courtney Sweeny scored in the first half as Windham field hockey tripped Hanover 1-0.

A for Alicia

Behind Alicia Miller’s 15 kills and seven blocks, Methuen beat Billerica, 3-0.

Share the wealth

Todd Righini, Reed Grubbs and Zach Grady scored as Salem beat Merrimack 3-1 to improve to 3-0. It’s their best start since starting 4-0 in 2009.

Ace Ventura

Justin Boraczek beat his former Haverhill High classmate Scott Coburn with a first round submission in Combat Zone 45 MMA action at Rockingham Park.

Salem in OT

Amanda Travaglini scored twice, the second coming in OT as Salem field hockey beat Merrimack 3-2.
