Final score

Rookies rock

Freshmen Emily Hickey and Brenna Blakslee played well in their debuts to help Salem girls soccer to a 4-1 win over Dover. Hickey, a midfielder, recorded an assist. Blakslee played strong defense. Gina Righini, Cassie Chase and Jersey Burns all scored for Salem.

Hats off

Sophomore Lydia Simmons recorded a hat trick to lead Londonderry girls soccer to a 6-0 win over Memorial. Freshman Aliza Simpson scored twice.

Smart switch

Salem boys soccer coach Tony Karibian converted Joey Morgan from defense to midfield this season.

Good choice.

Morgan scored his first varsity goal in Salem's 2-0 win over Dover.

On the new course

Colby Putnam took third place overall (20:48) while competing for the first time at Windham's new cross country course, half of which is run in the woods.

Putnam helped Windham take second in the four-team meet.

First time for everything

Sophomore Ken Desmarais and senior Kevin Osgood both netted their first varsity goals to lift Londonderry past Memorial 4-1. Kyle Willis and Connor Pauley also scored for the Lancers (2-0).
