BIDDEFORD, Maine — Christopher B. Hillard, 38, died unexpectedly at his home, Friday, March 5, 2010.
Born March 30, 1971 in Methuen, he was the beloved son of Bernard J. Hillard Sr. of Danville, N.H. and Marjorie (Batchelder) Campbell of Simpsonville, S.C. He grew up in Raymond, N.H. and graduated from Raymond High School, Class of 1989. He played football, basketball and cross country track.
Chris had been self-employed as a carpenter and previously employed by Sprague Energy. Chris enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing the drums, snowmobiles, dirt bikes, and many happy times with family at his grandfather's camp in Charlotte, Maine.
Chris leaves his wife, Bethany Marshall of Biddeford; four children, son Cody, daughter Kelsey, and son Ryan Hillard of Deerfield, N.H., and son Hunter Hillard of Biddeford. He also leaves his paternal grandfather, Chet Batchelder of Methuen; siblings, Bernie Hillard Jr. and his wife Carrie of Manchester, N.H., Tricia Hillard of Springfield, Danielle (Hillard) Owen of Manchester, N.H.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, March 13, at Our Lady of Good Counsel/St. Theresa's Church, 22 Plymouth St., Methuen, at 9 a.m. Burial will be private with family only. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Christopher Hillard Memorial Fund, TD Bank, 1255 S. Willow St., Manchester, NH 03103.
