LYNN — Daniel Martin Kelley, age 49, of Lynn, died Monday, March 16, 2010 after being stricken suddenly at home. He was the son of Theresa E. "Betty" (Doyle) Kelley and the late Martin J. "Buddy" Kelley.
Born and raised in Lynn, he has lived in Lawrence, Andover and North Andover before moving back to Lynn in 1997. He was a graduate of St. Mary's High School, Class of 1978, and Franklin Pierce College where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. He also graduated from the General Electric Apprentice Program. Daniel worked as an Engineer at General Electric as well as National Northeast Company. He enjoyed fishing, rock music and playing strategic games. He was interested in history, especially Irish history and war history.
Besides his mother Betty of Lynn, he is survived by his three daughters, Erin Kelley Auclair and her husband Jon of Methuen, Colleen Kelley of Methuen and Mary Kate Kelley of Methuen and Florida; two brothers, David J. Kelley and his wife Annie of Yarmouthport and Brian F. Kelley of Lynn; his sister, Carol Sano and her husband John of Reading; grandson, Reno Madensky; and his former wife, Kim Kelley. Also survived by nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Kevin J. Kelley.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral will be held from the Solimine, Landergan & Richardson Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn, on Friday at 9 a.m., followed by funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Lynn at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
