PLAISTOW, N.H. — Mrs. Dorothy R. (Robinson) McDonough, RN, 84 of Plaistow, N.H., died Friday morning, Nov. 27, 2009 at Pleasant Valley Nursing Home, Derry, N.H.
She was born in Plaistow, Jan. 13, 1925, daughter of the late Harry F. and Jessie L. (Williams) Robinson. Educated in the Plaistow school system, Mrs. McDonough graduated from the former Sanborn Seminary, Kingston, N.H. Class of 1943.
She earned her nursing degree from Elliott Hospital School of Nursing and was employed there as well as Brigham and Women's Hospital until her retirement in 1976.
Mrs. McDonough was the wife of the late Albert M. McDonough, and her survivors include two sisters, Amy C. Robinson of Plaistow, N.H., Marjorie and her husband John Burnett of Danville, N.H., and numerous nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral Wednesday, at 9 a.m., from the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m., in St. Luke The Evangelist Church, Atkinson Depot Road, Plaistow, N.H. Burial will be in Plaistow Cemetery, Plaistow, N.H. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
