MERRIMAC — Mrs. Marie (Roza) Dutra, 88, of Merrimac and Newton, N.H., and formerly of Provincetown, died Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at the Amesbury Village.
She was born in Provincetown, Aug. 23, 1921 daughter of the late Frank and Lucinda (Pachut) Dutra
Educated in the Truro Public Schools, she was a graduate of Truro High School.
Prior to her retirement she had been employed as an I C U Aide at the Framingham Union Hospital.
In 2000 she relocated to Newton, N.H.
Marie was a member of the Mary, Mother of the Church, and enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking and cleaning. Her great-granddaughter, Nichole Harris was the apple of her eye.
She is predeceased by her husband, Clarence Dutra who died in 2005 and her daughter, Barbara Gentili who died in 1999. Her survivors include her brother, Edward and his wife Lucille Roza of Eastham; a sister-in-law, Helen Roza of Amory, Miss.; two grandchildren, Yvonne Harris of Merrimac, Jay Gentili of Upton; her great-grandchildren, Nichole Harris, Jason and Jonathan Gentili; and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to her memorial Mass Saturday at 11 a.m. At Mary Mother of the Church in Newton, N.H. At her request there will be no calling hours.
