METHUEN — Timothy A. "Tiger" Murphy, a resident of Methuen, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the Sutton Hill Nursing Center in North Andover.
Born in Lawrence, Timothy was educated in the Lawrence Schools. He had worked at Cronin's Coal and Oil for 30 years and then at Sheehan's Service Station in Methuen for 20 years. Timothy was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians as well as a long time communicant of St. Monica's Church in Methuen.
He was a big Red Sox and Patriots fan.
Members of Timothy's family include brothers, John F. "Spud" Murphy of Methuen, and Joseph Murphy of Andover; a sister, Catherine M. Murphy of Methuen, with whom he resided, as well as several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 9 a.m. in St. Monica's Church in Methuen. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence. Family and friends may call on Saturday morning from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence.
