Kalkaska Career Cafe reopened
KALKASKA — The Career Cafe inside the newly reopened Northwest Michigan Works Center in Kalkaska will host an open house today from 1 to 3 p.m. The center was closed since July 1, 2013 because of a reduction in federal funding. mBank acquires Peninsula Bank
TRAVERSE CITY — Mackinac Financial Corporation, the holding company for mBank, will acquire Peninsula Financial Corporation, the holding company for Peninsula Bank. Peninsula Bank is based in Ishpeming, has six locations and $132 million in assets. mBank has a branch in Traverse City.

Leelanau vintners award scholarships
