CARL RUSSO PHOTOS: The play, My Name is Ōpūkahaʻia, was performed by Hawaiian actor and storyteller Moses Goods at Phillips Academy in October. The story of Henry ʻŌpūkahaʻia, the native Hawaiian who traveled to New England and inspired the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Mission, or ABCFM, to send Protestant missionaries to the Hawaiian Kingdom, to new audiences.

During October, the Hawaiian Mission Houses Historic Site and Archives (HMH) presented a Hawaiian cultural program throughout New England. The HMH made an appearance at Phillips Academy on Friday, October 4 with the performance of My Name is Ōpūkahaʻia,
