Columbia Gas of Massachusetts will host a series of three open house meetings Saturday, March 9 to provide the community with updates on its spring activities in the communities affected by the Sept. 13 gas disaster. The meetings will include details of the company’s spring heating equipment replacement program.
The meetings will feature remarks from Mark Kempic, chief operating officer and incoming Columbia Gas of Massachusetts president, and Kirk Cresto, vice president of Merrimack Valley operations at Columbia Gas. The company leaders will also take questions from attendees.
The meetings will be held at the following times and places:
9 to 11 a.m., Doherty Middle School, 50 Bartlet St., Andover.
noon to 2 p.m., Lawrence High School, 70-71 N. Parish Road, Lawrence.
3 to 5 p.m., North Andover Senior Center, 120 R Main St., North Andover.
Tanglewood Marionettes to perform Sunday
HAVERHILL — Take a trip back in time to the dawn of civilization, to an ancient world of gods, goddesses, prophecies and heroes when the Tanglewood Marionettes present the classic Greek myth, “Perseus and Medusa.” This performance is at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, in the Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church Community Center, 154-156 Winter St.
This lavish show featuring hand-crafted, 3-foot marionettes will tell the story of the young hero, Perseus, who sets out, with the help of the gods, to defeat the terrifying monster, Medusa, who could turn any man into stone.

‘Meet Your Legislators’ forum planned
ANDOVER — The Northeast Independent Living Program and Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley will host a “Meet Your Legislators” forum from 9 a.m. to noon, Friday, March 22 at the Massachusetts School of Law, 500 Federal St., Andover.
State representatives and senators, as well as local officials, are expected to attend.

HAVERHILL — Paula Moore, an experienced tax professional and alum of NECC, will provide NECC students with free tax preparation help. She will be on the Haverhill campus, Building B, Room 113, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, and on the Lawrence campus, 420 Common St., Room LH-314, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesdays, March 20 and 27.
Remember to bring your documents with you, which may include: all sources of income tax forms, health insurance documents, your license, social security number, and prior year tax information if available.
