Haverhill Alternative School graduates four seniors

From left, Jawan Singleton of Haverhill, who hopes to join the carpenter's union to work with his father; Manuel Eusebio of Lawrence, who plans to join the Job Corps to study culinary arts; Mikai Everett of Haverhill, is interested in the military as well as working in the field of security, and Jorge Chute of Haverhill, who is interested in the fashion industry and would like to work in the community. Alternative School principal John DePolo said this group of graduates had many personal obstacles to overcome, earning a high school diploma. Quoting Booker T. Washington, DePolo told the graduates and their families that "Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he or she has overcome."
