HAVERHILL — The Haverhill YMCA will hold its annual Recognition Event and Educator of the Year program on Oct. 29 at 5 p.m. at DiBurro's in Ward Hill.

This year’s Educator of the Year nominees are: Mary Krikorian, Pentucket Lake School; Judy Reilly, Walnut Square; Michelle Moulton, Nettle; Elizabeth Whitmore, Crowell; Jennifer Donais, Nettle; Karen Thornell, St. James; Stacie Libman, Nettle; Bonnie Ham, Pentucket Lake; Amanda Roche, Pentucket Lake; Michael Castano, St. Joseph's; Mary Ordway, St. Joseph's and Catherine Nichols, Whittier Regional High.

This award, given by the YMCA, recognizes those who do an exemplary job teaching Haverhill's children. 

This is the sixth year that the YMCA will give the award.

Tickets are $35 each and include dinner. All proceeds support the Haverhill YMCA's Youth and Teen Center, sports leagues and YMCA child care programs. Please RSVP to Tracy Fuller by Oct. 22 at 978-374-0506 or fuller5@northshoreymca.org.

The event also recognizes Haverhill Bank and its president, Tom Mortimer, with the Community Business Development Award.
