Chet Jackson

Chet Jackson has been named the new North Andover High School principal.

NORTH ANDOVER -- Superintendent of schools Dr. Jennifer Price announced Tuesday afternoon in an email to parents that Chester "Chet" Jackson will be the next principal of North Andover High School.

"I was particularly impressed with Chet’s ability to reflect on how this new position will allow him to make important changes to move NAHS forward," wrote Price in the email to parents.

Jackson is currently the assistant principal for academics at North Andover High, where he has served since 2007.

Before that, he was a math teacher at Greater Lawrence Technical High School.

According to his resume, Jackson received a master's degree of educational administration from the UMass Lowell, a master's of education from Fitchburg State University, and a bachelor's degree in finance from Boston College.

Jackson was one of three finalists, including Narragansett Middle School principal Peter Cushing and Salem, Mass., High School Administrator of Teaching and Learning Andrew Wulf.
