Calling all buccaneers: Thursday, kids entering grades three or higher will have the chance to convert a pair of plain flip-flops into something a pirate would be proud to wear from 2 to 3 p.m. at Hampstead Public Library in Hampstead, N.H. Bring flip-flops and the library will supply the rest. On July 25 at 10 a.m., children entering grades kindergarten through two will have a chance to make a treasure map. Kids entering grades three and up will have their chance on July 26 at 2 p.m. After each session, kids can use their maps on a special scavenger hunt.
