PELHAM — The adult theater group is looking for cast members for their production of “Home for Christmas.”

The cast will meet Wednesdays from Sept. 17 to Dec. 17 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Productions are scheduled for Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 19 at 4 and 7 p.m. in Sherburne Hall.

Participants do not need experience and everyone gets a part.

Catmobile coming to Nevin’s Farm

METHUEN — The Catmobile, which offers low cost spay/neuter for cats only, is coming to the MSPCA at Nevin’s Farm on Sept. 10 and Sept. 24 in Methuen. It is operated by the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society and staffed by a licensed veterinarian and two veterinary technicians. The package consists of spay/neuter, rabies vaccinations, exam, nail trim, and treatment for fleas and ear mites. Microchipping is available for a $20 fee. The spay package costs $120 and the neuter package costs $80. The deals are available to anyone and there is no qualification process. An evening of psychic readings

HAVERHILL — Winnekenni Castle will host an evening of psychic readings on Thursday, Aug. 28, from 5 to 9:30 p.m.

Readers will be on hand inside the castle for appointments. The castle’s regular readers, Judith-Anne, Valeria, Fay Martin and newly joined psychic medium from Ireland, Colleen Costello, will welcome special guest Leila, who will offer both Angel Card Readings and Turkish Coffee Cup Readings.

Reiki healer Paul Muryn will be offering 15 minute “Healing While You Wait” sessions for $10. Jewelry and other specialty themed merchandise by Two Sisters Boutique will be on display and available for purchase.

Cost for psychic readings is $20 per 15-minute session. Multiple appointments may be purchased to create longer blocks of time with the readers. Appointments are booked at the door only. Doors open at approximately 4:55 p.m. Guests are permitted to purchase later hour appointments, leave the Castle and then return in time for their session. Socializing before and after appointments in the castle’s main hall is welcomed. Refreshments will be available.

LAWRENCE — ValleyWorks Career Center will host a Monroe Staffing and Zwicker & Associates recruitment event on Aug. 27 at the Career Center, located at 439 South Union St., Building 2, Suite 106, Lawrence. Job seekers are encouraged to attend this event.

Monroe Staffing will meet with job seekers from 1 to 3 p.m. The representative will be interviewing to fill the following positions: pickers, packers, machine operators, material handlers, managers and supervisors. The positions are with Lindt, located in Stratham, N.H.

Zwicker & Associates P.C. will also be available from 1 to 4 p.m. and will be interviewing for the following positions: collector, complaint specialist and litigation assistant.

Shakespeare at Winnekenni Castle

HAVERHILL — The Rebel Shakespeare Company will present a free performance of “As you Like It” on the Winnekenni Castle grounds on Thursday, Aug. 28, at 6 p.m.

Always a crowd pleaser, this theatrical troupe makes you feel as though you are “there and a part of something real that is happening” rather than just an audience member watch a performance.

In 1990, Artistic Director Keri Cahill founded the Rebel Shakespeare Company with 12 students and a staff of two. Rebel Shakespeare was first housed in Manchester-by-the-Sea, and then spent many years at Fort Sewall in Marblehead. Currently, the Company can be found each summer on Winter Island in Salem.

Head to E. Hampstead for soup, sandwiches

EAST HAMPSTEAD — A Public Soup and Sandwich Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 3, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at East Hampstead Union Church, 225 E. Main St., Route 121A, just south of Route 111.

Offerings include a variety of soups and sandwiches, chips, pickles, assorted beverages and desserts. The suggested donation of $6 per person supports the operating fund. The site is chair-lift accessible. Take-out meals are available.

HAMPSTEAD — Supervisors of the Checklist will be session at Town Hall on Tuesday, Sept. 2, between 7 and 7:30 p.m. to register new voters and update the checklist.

Bring in proof of residency and some type of photo ID.

Residents may also register on the day of election or at the town clerk’s office during regular business hours.
