The city's health department will hold a seasonal flu clinic for residents and city employees on Tuesday from 2 to 6 p.m., at the Citizens Center, 10 Welcome St. There is a suggested donation of $20. The city will bill Medicare for people who receive benefits from that agency. The state has provided the city with 1,800 doses for this clinic, according to Mayor James Fiorentini. The city's next H1N1 flu clinic, just for children in prekindergarten to grade two only, will be held Thursday, from 4 to 6:30 p.m., at Silver Hill Horace Mann Charter School, 675 Washington St. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to be eligible to receive the vaccine. Green event planning meeting is Monday

Haverhill's Brightside will host a multi-organizational event planning meeting on Monday at 7 p.m. at the Citizens Center, 10 Welcome St. The public is invited. Volunteers are needed to help plan a green event to be held next April. Visit Brightside online at www.haverhillsbrightside.org.

Pentucket High School sets holiday concert

WEST NEWBURY — The Pentucket High School music department will present a holiday concert on Wednesday, at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium, 22 Main St., West Newbury. The program includes several Christmas classics, a medley from "Phantom of the Opera" and a soulful take on the gospel hymn "Blessed Assurance."

Pentucket's popular Cafe Jazz returns on Friday at 7 p.m. with the music of Thelonious Monk, Duke Ellington, Count Basie and other jazz artists. The Blues Ensemble, Big Band, and award-winning Jazz Combo will perform. Vocalist Allison Doherty will perform "The Man I Love" by George and Ira Gershwin. Snow date is Dec. 19. Donations will be accepted in the broken drum outside or at the back of the hall.

Foxwoods trip planned for January

Haverhill's Council on Aging and Bethany Communities will host a trip to Foxwoods on Jan. 2.

The trip includes tickets to the popular Broadway musical, "Hairspray." Bus will depart from Westgate Plaza at 7 a.m., arriving at Foxwoods at approximately 9 a.m., in time for Early Bird Bingo. Bus departs Foxwoods at 4 p.m. a

nd arrives in Haverhill at around 6:30 p.m. Early sign-up is recommended. Tickets are $59 per person and include a lunch buffet, tickets to the musical, transportation and $15 for Keno. Interfaith choir to perform holiday shows

HAMPSTEAD — The Interfaith Choir will perform tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. at Hampstead Congregational Church, 61 Main St., and at 4 p.m. Sunday at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 471 Main St., Haverhill. Singers represent more than 20 churches. The children's choir also will perform. A freewill offering will be taken. Refreshments and fellowship follow the performances.
