WINDHAM — One driver in a two-car accident on Route 111 at around 6 p.m. today was seriously injured.
Police said the driver of a black Honda crossed the center line of Route 111 near the Interstate 93 on-ramp. That car hit a red Toyota Camry, traveling west, head-on, according to police at the scene.
Rescue workers tried to revive the driver of the Honda at the scene, but were not successful, police said. He was transported to Parkland Medical Center in Derry.
Police thought the Honda driver might have suffered a heart attack. Both drivers were alone in their cars.
An accident reconstruction team from Derry was on the scene at 7 p.m.
