LAWRENCE — Police are looking for two burglars who broke into an apartment and kicked open a bedroom door to rob two people asleep in bed.

Burglars broke into a second-floor apartment at 24 Foster St. at about 8 p.m. Tuesday by pushing in an air conditioner and climbing through a window into the home.

The two men then moved from a small living room to the bedroom, kicking open a locked door.

One of the men had a gun and demanded that Angela Tejada, 23, and Elvin Hererra, 30, give up their valuables. The man holding the black handgun said he would kill Tejada while leaving the sleeping baby in the room with her alive.

The suspects robbed the two of a DKNY ladies watch, a Bulova men's watch, a necklace, a 14-karat chain, and an iPhone.
