SALEM — Join the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Salem on Wednesday, Aug. 13, when the Junior Chef program promises to deliver again.
Ten teenagers, under the guidance and direction of Chef Eddie and his Tuscan Kitchen team, have been practicing chopping, sautéing, making bread, seasoning and practicing kitchen safety and cleaning.
For a donation of $100, individuals can be one of the 30 people who will be lucky enough to experience the culinary talents of these budding chefs. The luncheon will be held at the Boys and Girls Club on Aug. 13.
When making reservations, call 898-7709, Ext. 16, and specify the number of seats needed. They will be seating people at noon, 12:15, 12:30 and 12:45 p.m. Seats are going fast.
Last year, one of the Junior Chef program participants was Max Wildfeuer. Now, he’s working in the kitchen at Tuscan Kitchen.
The menu will be served family style.
