Frank Consentino Sr. was recently awarded a 75-year Certificate and Life Member Pin for being a member of the American Federation of Musicians of the U.S. and Canada. He never let his membership lapse for 75 continuous years. In the 1930's, Consentino, along with his cousin, had a traveling band, the Villa Vista Virginians, with whom he played regularly at the Commodore Ballroom in Lowell. For decades, he continued to play with artists and bands in the Merrimack Valley, including Tony Brown, Ami Felteau, Maury Castle, Chick Chickarella, and Sal Erna.
