BRENTWOOD — A jury this afternoon found Paul McDonald, 50, guilty of first-degree murder in the death of his landlord, Richard Wilcox, 54, in Danville in June 2008.
McDonald was stoic when the verdict was read, just about 24 hours after the case was given to jurors.
Shortly after the verdict was handed down, McDonald was sentenced to life in state prison.
Relatives of Wilcox were emotional when the verdict was read.
McDonald was escorted from the courtroom to begin serving his sentence.
