SALEM, N.H. — Police apprehended a local man yesterday wanted in connection with stealing baby formula earlier this week.
Police received a tip around noon that Daniel Bird, 39, of Salem was possibly at the Icenter on Route 38. Officer Dan Nelson spotted Bird in the parking lot there.
As Nelson stepped out of his police cruiser, Bird fled on foot across Route 38. Several officers responded to
the area and Bird was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit.
