ANDOVER — The eighth annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Luncheon hosted by Andover Baptist Church is set for Monday, at 11:30 a.m. at the church at 7 Central St.
Dr. Melinda Boone, the superintendent of the Worcester Public Schools, will be the keynote speaker. Spiritual leaders from local synagogues will also speak and local gospel artists will perform musical oratory tributes in honor of Dr. King as well.
The service will be followed by a Southern meal in Andover Baptist's Fellowship Hall.

Networking group tackling critical thinking
ANDOVER — Temple Emanuel's Networking Group will host Margaret Fleming, a global compensation and total rewards professional, on Tuesday, Jan. 20, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the temple, 7 Haggetts Pond Road, Andover.
Fleming, who has experience in management consulting and corporate human resources, will be speaking about the importance of critical thinking. The workshop aims to create awareness and explore what is meant by critical thinking, to identify some of the questions interviewers may ask to get at a candidate's skills and discuss the range of answers to these questions.
Fleming has extensive U.S. and overseas experience with Towers Perrin, a global consulting firm specializing in benefits, talent management and rewards, and also has held senior HR roles with Pfizer and Intralinks.
