SALEM, N.H. — Children and their families gathered to play with the real versions of some of their toys at the Tuoch-a-Truck event recently at The Mall at Rockingham Park.

Local first responders and other municipal employees brought their rigs to the event. Children of all ages were able to learn about what these apparatus do.

Over 20 trucks were on display all day, including four police cruisers, two police motorcycles and the animal control van from the Salem Police Department.

More than $1,900 from the event was donated to the Salem 9/11 Memorial and the Simon Youth Foundation.

The Simon Youth Foundation is a nonprofit organization that is committed to helping youth get an education. Every year the organization gives out scholarships to communities that have a Simon Mall, including Salem.
