Flames consumed Diesel World in Plaistow Tuesday afternoon. It appears no one was injured.

PLAISTOW — A Plaistow Road business went up in flames Tuesday afternoon.

Diesel World owner Brian Orlando said his general manager heard a pop in the ceiling and flames shooting out of ceiling

"It just torched the whole building," Orlando said.

The five or six employees got out safely, he said, and called 911.

Firefighters from Plaistow, Salem, Atkinson, Newton and Hampstead continue to fight the fire more than an hour after it started.

The business is at 87 Plaistow Road. That section of road is closed.

Orlando, who has owned the business for about four years, vows to rebuild.

The building appears to be a total loss.

There were about 100 diesel pickups were on the lot, a couple inside the building.
