ANDOVER — State Police, firefighters and other rescue workers responded late Tuesday morning to a crash on Interstate 495 north involving a tractor-trailer and a school bus containing dozens of students.

Police said the bus had 42 students and nine adults on board.

Just after 11 a.m., a police scanner report said no one on the bus was injured, and that all passengers were moved to another bus which left the scene. The name of the school the bus is from was not immediately available, but the vehicle is believed to be a charter bus.

The vehicles involved in the collision have been removed from the highway, police said.

The collision happened near the Interstate 93 exchange.
