Two fires in Salem, N.H., under investigation

SALEM, N.H. — Police and fire investigators are looking into the circumstances surrounding two fires on Liberty Street this morning.

The first fire, at 27 Liberty St., was called in at 1:37 a.m.

The second fire, at 57 Liberty St., came in at 4:12 a.m.

Fire officials said the fires were contained to two, small buildings.

Camp Y Wood, part of the Greater Lawrence YWCA, is located at 58 Liberty St.

Police have indicated that the fires are possibly arson.
